Quotes from the novel, Living With the Invisible Ones - The Story of Aine and Roisin.
These are a few of my favorite lines from my debut novel. I cannot wait for readers to read my novel and learn what their favorite lines are from the book.
“… The universe is vast and mysterious and will be forever out of the grasp of mankind, unless drastic changes within society are made …”
“… tears of betrayal fell from her broken heart.”
“Having no history lessons which include the worst of your people, just creates a cycle of repeats. And your peoples will be right back on this stage again.”
“… proceeded to go hunt for what lurked in the darkness of the halls.”
“With the dangers of being pregnant being high .... Until the government stays out of our wombs, it is best to not risk dieing …”
“… don’t want to be stuck having to die because of some fascist dunderhead …”
“As Lachlan was a tentative husband ... was looking at Aine and he knew that she was changed ... she was trying to hide her shaking hands, the movement her skin made every time an unknown noise was heard ...”
“... a girl of nine years of age, ... would counsel the dead that would wonder up to her home.“
The photograph is a picture of an early version of the novel that I printed out for a beta reader. My beta readers only had a chance to read the beginning of the story, which they liked very much, before their lives became too busy.
Life can give you time and then take it away in an instant.
I am too impatient to wait for years for publication to happen, so my novel is being self-published without another pair of eyes to go over the manuscript.
This post was originally published on September 16, 2022. The original picture cannot be easily located at this time. One of the debut images was used instead for this blog relocation.
